Assignments to have completed for this week (Sept 30)

  • Finish the started hypothesis on Student Handout # 4 (page 43 in your manual)
  • Post your first draft of your proposal in the wiki.
    • published it to the web via Google docs
    • invited me to be an editor DrDjHarland@gmail.com
    • linked to the proposal on THIS page.
    • Work on the document in Google docs. Don't complete it first and then post it. We are working on Transparency: peek at other proposals to see others are doing!
    • (Note: Feel free to ask me via email to "grade" your proposal before Thursday. I will be out of town Sept 24-26, so the first chance I would have would be on Monday the 27th. The faster you get the proposal approved, the easier things will be on you in the long run.
  • Read part 6: Organizing Data Tables and Field Notebook

  • Have your proposal approved by Thursday..or consider yourselves behind!
  • Organize your field notebook (data notebook) for a spot check. If you plan on organizing it electronically...(preferred) send me the actual document, or a link to the google doc, BEFORE class time on Thursday (preferably by 8:00 am on Thurs. so I can have it graded by classtime!)
